Managing Rooms

Rooms group devices logically (living room, kitchen, bedroom).

Add a room​

  1. Rooms → Add room
  2. Enter name and optional type
  3. Save

When creating or editing a device, select a Room from the list. The dashboard shows a device count per room.

Delete a room​

Move or delete linked devices first — the API prevents deletion when devices still reference the room.

Best practices​

  • Name rooms after real locations in the home
  • esp32_name can match a room (e.g. sala) but is independent in the system
